Our 2023 – 2024 events programme

We have regular monthly meetings where we hear from speakers, have various activities, and find out what’s going on in the wider WI network.

There are also different clubs that catch up each month. We’ve got a wide range of members and interests, so we hope there’ll be something for almost everyone! You can also see our previous 2022 – 2023 events programme.

April – whiskey tasting

Come join Toby Cutler who is Spirit Supply Director at Brave New Spirits where he will be introducing us to a few whiskeys and gives us some knowledge tidbits all about Whiskey.

May – sustainability

Sustainability is a pretty broad topic, but in this session we will talk about how to live a life that generates less plastic, clean ourselves and our homes effectively using fewer harsh chemicals, and find ways to live more harmoniously with our home – the earth.

June – watercolour painting

Come and get your creativity flowing through watercolour painting. Nicole, one of our members, will guide you through a few beginner techniques to paint anything from flowers to food, for birthdays, weddings and anything in between.

July – outdoor on the common

As per tradition, we’ll be spending our July meeting out and about on Tooting Common. This year’s theme is all things food, with everyone bringing a different dish to share, that they love. We’ll tuck into food together, whilst having the opportunity for a good old catch up with members.

October – mental health

To mark World Mental Health Day we’ll be talking about why self care is important, how to spot when someone might be struggling with their mental health and how to support them. We’ll also explore the link between mental and physical health.
