Our clubs

Our clubs meet once a month in Tooting. There’s no extra charge to attend our clubs, although you do need to be a current Tooting WI member.
We know that you may not be able to come every month, but we love it when members become club ‘regulars’!

Contact us if you’d like to find out more or join. And let us know if you’ve got a great idea for a new club too.

Follow us on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook for updates on our clubs.

Book club

We’re a relaxed book club for people who just like to chat about books … We may not all have finished the book, and we may not have the same opinions, and that’s definitely OK. We choose from a range of genres, although one of our criteria is: “Not too long”!

When: The third Thursday of the month at 19:30
Where: The Trafalgar Arms, Tooting

wool and knitting needles

Craft Club

Craft-y people of all skill levels and interests meet up at our Craft Club. We have beginners, casual crafters and quite experienced skilled people too. Ask for help or inspiration; show off your creations and we can even pair you up if you’re wanting to learn a new craft.

Sometimes we have Craft Club projects (e.g. for local charities or causes) or bring along whatever you’re working on.

When: The third Tuesday of each month at 19:30
Where: The Wine Room at The Trafalgar Arms

Culture club

Not the 80s band … but a slightly less regular club where we may visit a museum or gallery, or see a show. We’re open to suggestions from members if they think there is something interesting on.

When: A few times a year. We’ll let members know when we organise one of our outings. They’re usually on a weekend.
Where: Anywhere in London that we can get to by public transport

Supper club

Tooting has a huge variety of restaurants and cuisines. We’re sure you’ve walked past a few and wondered what they were like. Our Supper club is a great chance to enjoy new and favourite venues, while getting to know other members.

When: The last Tuesday of each month at 19:00
Where: Different restaurants in and around Tooting
Cost: Although there’s no cost to join the club, we do pay for our own meals! Sometimes we can negotiate good deals from local restaurants, and we always try to choose reasonably-priced options …
